Ribbon

Ribbon came to us prior to having a name or product line, but had a strong perspective and desire to shake up the silicon dishware landscape. The industry they were looking to disrupt was clearly divided into two categories; for babies and toddlers, or for camping and outdoor enthusiasts. Ribbon sought to make a mark by becoming the first silicon dishware geared towards design-minded folks. Bringing the benefits of silicon to a new audience by making them as covetable as traditional ceramics.

Seeking to distance ourselves from the softer, cute visual tone of the larger industry, we created an identity that leveraged what made traditional dishware desirable, while also tapping into the practical benefits of silicon. Additionally, we developed the product line from scratch; a cup, plate, and bowl set, and established a strong color palette that ranges from subdued to eye-catching. The forms were defined by strong sweeping curves. Accommodating silicone’s particular manufacturing requirements while referencing modern dishware trends.
